Drawing I

Three Cups Drawing
20180828_082844.jpg

This is my three cups drawing that I did during class. For this assignment, we had to find 3 cups/jars around the room and we were given a certain amount of time to draw them. Along with a time frame we had to use the basics of composition while drawing the three items. I think I did good but I would add more and I would also make the first jar I drew a little smaller.

One Point Perspective Drawing

During this drawing, we had to find a reference photo that had only one vanishing point (one point perspective) and then use what we know and try and create something like it.  Something challenging for me when doing this was making sure I included enough values and detail. I think I did well with the shading of the foreground.

Charcoal Drawing

This a charcoal pencil drawing on grey paper. During this full length drawing the class had to find a picture that was in grayscale and print it off. After it was printed we had drawn a grid onto that which would later help upscale it up onto another larger sheet of paper which was the grey paper. When drawing the grid it was rather easy because you didn't have to make any specific measurements. One thing that was difficult was making sure I did not smear the charcoal from the two pencils and figuring out where to start. Eventually, I started by drawing the basic shape of the giraffe then working my way through every part of the grid. I think the grid helped me a lot with this drawing because it helped show me where everything was supposed to be and just helped overall. I think this was one of my favorite drawings and one of the best things I've ever drawn.

Still-life Drawing

This is my Still- life drawing and during this project, we had to use the six parts of light and also apply the four parts of composition. For this project I got 3 items ffrom around the room and drew them in detail within 3 call periods. This was a little difficult for me since we were now adding the six parts of light to the drawing. In this i also really mada a heavy highlight and contrasted it with the shade of the bottle on the other sides of it. I think I could have done better on the value part of it and really made some parts a little darker or a little lighter. By doing that I think it would've made the image all together better and less gray.

Self Portrait Drawing

For this self-portrait drawing, we had to have all the correct proportions and eventually it should look like ourselves. During this drawing, I found it the most difficult to draw the eyes and keep my lines blended. I also liked how you could tell the difference between the background and the person itself.

2 Point Perspective Drawing

During this drawing, we had to find a reference photo of a building or object that we could draw in two-point perspective. I think this drawing was one of the hardest to do because you always had to be sure you had your lines set up and aligned correctly. I think one thing I did well with was the part of human anatomy that we had to incorporate in our drawing. I also think I had a decent range of values.
